1. Flo Milli

Tamia Monique Carter, who goes by the stage name Flo Milli, is an Alabama rapper born and raised in Mobile.

She began writing music at the young age of nine and rapping at the age of 11 with the self-formed rap group Real & Beautiful.

Her career began on TikTok, where she went viral with her songs “In the Party” and “Beef FloMix”.

They have since been awarded gold certification.

Her subsequent mixtape Ho, Why Is You Here? earned her a nomination at the BET Awards in 2021 for Best New Artist. 

2. Yung Bleu

Jeremey Biddle, who adopted the stage name Yung Bleu or simply BLEU, is another Alabama rapper from Mobile.

His most successful studio album Moon Boy charted on the US Billboard mainstream, hip-hop, and rap charts, becoming certified gold.

With several successful songs, Yung Bleu’s most critically acclaimed single is “You’re Mines Still”, which features Drake.

The hit got certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America and helped his rise to fame.

3. NoCap

NoCap, whose full name is Kobe Vidal Crawford Jr., is a rapper from Mobile.

His one studio album Mr. Crawford performed exceptionally well, charting on the Billboard mainstream, R&B/hip-hop, and rap charts at number 8, 4, and 3 respectively.

Among his many singles, his top two are “Vaccine” and “Ghetto Angels”.

They have both been certified diamond status for over one million sales, with the former charting at number 2 on the US Bubbling Under Hot 100!

4. OMB Peezy

LeParis Dade, i.e. OMB Peezy, was raised in Mobile by a musically-gifted family, and later relocated to Sacramento.

He has released two studio albums, titled Preacher to the Streets and Too Deep for Tears, in 2019 and 2021 respectively.

He also has four non-album singles, named “Lay Down”, “When I Was Down”, “Porch”, and “Try Something”.

OMB Peezy has also formed great rap connections, including Sherwood Marty, Drum dummie, Sick Wid it, and DJ Drama.

5. Rylo Rodriguez

Ryan Preston Adams, who goes by the stage name Rylo Rodriguez, has Lil Baby to thank for his rise to fame.

He signed to Lil Baby’s record label 4 Pockets Full and subsequently released his debut album G.I.H.F in 2020.

Rylo Rodriguez is known for his frequent collaborations with him, including the 2020 hit “Forget That” which sold over 100,000 copies.

He has also teamed other with other Mobile rappers, such as NoCap for the collaborative mixtape Rogerville.

6. Honeykomb Brazy

HoneyKomb Brazy, real name Nahshon Jones, is a rapper and songwriter from Mobile, Alabama.

He is best known for his songs “D.A Truthe ‘Gucci Flow’” and “Yellow”.

The music video for his single “Dead People” featured rapper J Prince.

J Prince signed HoneyKomb Brazy to his label Rap-A-Lot Records in 2020, and his following single “Created Player” went viral, reaching over 500,000 views in just three days.

7. Rubberband OG

Cortez Oates, also known as Rubberband OG, was raised in Montogomery by a single mother.

Much of his work reflects this, with some songs being tributes to her.

His passion for music began when he was gifted a drum set when he was 13.

Soon after he signed to Think It’s a Game Records in 2016, Rubberband OG released the single “Hood Back”, which put him on the map.

He has since collaborated with big names such as Eldorado Red and YFN Lucci, who were on his mixtape Bout That Life. 

8. Big Yavo

A rapper from Birmingham, Big Yavo (previously known as 41st Yavo, which was his hometown street name) is known for freestyling his singles rather than writing them in advance!

Despite regarding rapping as more of a hobby than a career, he has achieved some impressive feats.

He released several mixtapes in 2020, one of which performed particularly well.

On God II landed itself in the top 10 of the Billboard Heatseekers album chart and included the single “Hotbox (Remix)” which featured Wiz Khalifa.

“Rich” went viral on TikTok, becoming a sensation.

9. DaDa1k

DaDa1k was raised with his siblings in Birmingham.

He released his debut single “Nobody’s Real” in 2019, and the music video has now been viewed more than 3.5 million times!

DaDa1k has built an impressive social media presence, with over 42 million streams on Youtube in total, and over 180,000 monthly Spotify listeners as of 2021.

10. TLE Cinco

After growing up in Birmingham, TLE Cinco released his debut single “All The Money” at just 19 years old.

The video got reposted by WorldStarHipHop, leading him to be recognized and thus signed to 300 Entertainment.

His first mixtape 20Cinco performed extremely well, which lead to a collaboration with rapper Tee Grizzley.

The two remixed “All The Money”, which was even more popular the second time around.

11. Lil Bam

Lil Bam is a rapper from Birmingham who is signed to the MBK4L record label.

He began attracting attention upon the release of his single “Julio” in 2019, which received over one million views on YouTube, and quickly began releasing more music.

One of his most popular projects was his mixtape Hardhead, which featured a collaboration with rapper Lil Baby named “Rapper & Trapper”.

He has since released several other mixtapes, with Airport Baby being one of the most successful.

12. Luh Soldier

Jamal Swain, also known as Luh Soldier, was born and raised in Birmingham.

He rose to prominence by uploading freestyles and rap videos to Instagram, which soon garnered the attention of the record label Cinematic Music Group.

Luh Soldier’s debut EP Out on Bond performed so well that he soon released two full-length albums, Soldier Mentality, and Naw FR.

Several popular singles came alongside this album, including “10 Bands”, “My Campaign”, and “Contraband”.

13. Mgm Lett

Mgm Lett hit the rap scene with two 2019 albums; Neva Lett Up and Lett the Streets know.

He has since released another album in 2020, titled Lett the World Know, which helped him to rise even higher up in the ranks.

Mgm Lett has also released lots of tracks that feature collaborations with other Alabama rappers, including “Wocky Life” featuring Fredo Bang, “Private Life” featuring Lil Kee, and “Not The Same” featuring NoCap.

14. Li Heat

From Birmingham, Li Heat grew up a bit of a troublemaker!

After straightening himself out at boot camp, he decided to start making music in 2019.

It wasn’t long before Li Heat found his feet, inspired by NoCap, Rylo Rodriguez, and Lil Baby to name a few.

With nearly 40,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, Li Heat has released three albums; 3400 Degreez, Heated, and Heatin’ Up.

His most popular single is “007”, which has racked up over 1,600,000 listens since it was released in 2020.

15. GMF Fatboy

GMF Fatboy is a popular Alabama rapper, signed to GAIJIN RECORDS.

Some of his most popular singles include “Wipe Down”, “D Rose”, “WIYP”, and “Cop Out”, many of which have been reposted by WorldStarHipHop on YouTube.

GMF Fatboy is known for his frequent collaborations with Big Yavo, another Alabama rapper, including the singles “Skate Kicks”, “BigFatBoy” and “Snowboard”, among others.

Datony Anderson, who adopted the stage name D-Aye, was born in Montgomery and began his career by writing his own raps and performing at local events.

His first few projects were a series of mixtapes, Living Life Fast 1-4.

He was later signed by Island Records in 2016 for a multi-album contract after he began collaborating with popular rappers such as Super Nard and Rubberband OG.

After signing he released the club hit “Hunnids”, which blew up!

17. Super Nard

Super Nard comes from Montgomery, Alabama, and has a large social media following with over 140k on Instagram!

He claims that he always wanted to be a rapper, but he didn’t pursue it until he met Doe B.

When Super Nard, Doe B, and Honeykomb Brazy began working together and collaborating on projects, they became unstoppable!

Super Nard is thought to have a net worth of over $5 million.

18. Eldorado Red

Gary Bradford, who goes by the stage name Eldorado Red, grew up in Alabama as a teenager.

He released his first demo in 1994 with rapper Jazzy J and has since put out far more tunes.

His debut street mixtape, Rick Rock Presents Eastside Rydah Vol. 1, was released on the label Liquor barrel/SMC Recordings and built Eldorado Red an enormous fan base, despite his stint in prison.

19. EBE Savage

EBE Savage is a young rapper from Birmingham, Alabama who blew up in 2020.

He ended up in jail and was released when he was 17, which is when he realized it was time to start taking his rap career seriously.

One of his songs, “Opp Huntin”, was written while he was in jail, along with many of his other works.

EBE Savage said that his career and outlook have been deeply influenced by rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again.

20. Trenchrunner Poodie

From Mobile, rapper Trenchrunner Poodie has released several successful singles and albums throughout his career.

His most popular song is “Project Baby”, which boasts over 130,000 streams on Spotify.

Trenchrunner Poodie has released four albums since 2019: Heart of the Trenches, Last of a Dying Breed, Heart of the Trenches 2, and Back In That Mode.

He is a promising up-and-comer, so be sure to keep your eye out for him!

21. Doe B

Glenn Thomas, who went by the stage name Doe B, was a rapper from Montgomery who was known for his signature eye patches (which he wore as the result of a shooting injury in 2009.

Tragically, Doe B was killed in his hometown in 2013 at the age of 22.

He released a total of 9 mixtapes during his career, two of which were released after his death.

Many of his singles featured rapper T.I., including “Why”, “Homicide”, and “Let Me Find Out” (which also featured Juicy J).

22. YBN Nahmir

Nicholas Alexander Simmons, known as YBN Nahmir, is a young rapper from Birmingham, Alabama.

He is best known for his hit song “Bounce Out With That”, which shot to the top of the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart.

His 2018 mixtape YBN: The Mixtape, which was a collaboration with Almighty Jay and Cordae, was certified gold by the RIAA and MC after it charted in the top twenty on the US mainstream, R&B/Hip-Hop, and rap charts, as well as in Canada.

23. Rich Boy

Rich Boy, known to his family and friends as Marece Benjamin Richards, is a rapper from Mobile.

His career began when he dropped out of Tuskegee University (where he was studying mechanical engineering) to pursue his true passion – rap!

Before the release of his debut album, he collaborated with some pretty big names, including Ludacris, Dj Ideal, Jermaine Dupri, and even Drake!

Rich Boy’s self-titled debut studio album reached the top of the US rap charts and number three on the mainstream and R&B charts.

24. CHIKA

Jane Chika Oranika, who calls herself Chika or CHIKA professionally, is a talented rapper from Montgomery.

After signing with Warner Records in 2019, she was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2020 Grammy Awards!

She has also been nominated for the Outstanding New Artist award a the NAACP Image Awards but, most impressively, she won a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Breakthrough Music Artist for her 2020 EP Industry Games.

25. Dirty

This hip-hop duo is made up of two cousins from Montgomery; Big Pimp and Mr. G Stacka The Gansta.

They have released 10 studio albums, five of which are charted in the US. 

Their 2003 album Keep It Pimp & Gangsta performed the best, charting in the US mainstream and Hip-Hop charts at number 63 and number 13, respectively.
