Andrea Bocelli is one of the most famous tenors from Italy, and possibly in the whole world!

Despite becoming blind at the age of twelve, he has gone on to sell over seventy-five million copies of his albums, operas, and singles worldwide.

He has won twenty awards throughout his career, including Best-selling Classical Artist, Best-selling Italian Singer, and the Lifetime Achievement Award.

His award-winning compilation album Romanza has sold over twenty million copies worldwide!

2. Laura Pausini

Laura Pausini is an Italian singer who shot to fame with her debut single “La solitudine”, which won her a newcomer artist award at the Sanremo Music Festival.

She has won 436 awards, including a Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album for Escucha.

 She has thirteen studio albums, seven of which reached the top of the Italian album chart.

4. Mina

Mina Anna Maria Mazzin, better known as Mina, is a famous singer from Italy who has released countless charting singles.

Much of her success was achieved in the 1970s when she topped the charts with three different singles.

These singles were “Grande, grande, grande”, “Parole parole”, and “E poi…”.

“Parole parole” got awarded gold certification by FIMI, the Federazione Industria Musicale Italiana.

5. Luciano Pavarotti

Luciano Pavarotti was one of the most famous tenors of all time and eventually used his talents to break into the popular music scene.

He has won seven Grammy awards, five of which were Best Classical Vocal Solo, and another was the Grammy Legend Award.

Much of his music starred in Italian films, but he first started off in a rock band.

He stated his influences to be Elvis Presley and Jerry Lewis and followed in their footsteps. He soon became one of the most acclaimed artists in Italy.

7. Vasco Rossi

Vasco Rossi, who is also known as simply Vasco, has released thirty-two studio albums and countless successful singles.

He has won fifteen awards, including Best Studio Album and Best Italian Lyrics for Stupido Hotel and Male Artist of the Year.

His 2014 studio album Sono Innocente was one of his most popular, topping the FIMI weekly and year-end Italian Album charts and subsequently being awarded 6x platinum certification.

8. Fedez

Fedez is an Italian singer and rapper who shot to fame after his debut studio album Penisola che non c’è, which charted at number 92 in Italy.

His last five studio albums topped the charts and have each been certified Platinum by FIMI.

He has won two awards; an InstaVIP Award at the Italian MTV Awards and the Pop-Rap Award for Pop-Hoolista at the Lunezia Awards.

He has eleven number-one singles, including “La dolce vita”, “Meglio del Cinema”, “Mille”, and “Chiamami per nome”.

9. Zucchero Fornaciari

Adelmo Fornaciari, better known as Zucchero Fornaciari, whose work is inspired by the styles of gospel, rock, soul, and blues.

Elisa Toffoli, known by her stage name Elisa, is an Italian artist who records most of her work in English.

She states her influences to be from the music genres of pop, electronica, alternative rock, and trip-hop.

Cristina Scabbia is an Italian singer who is famous for being one of the two lead singers of Lacuna Coil, a gothic metal band.
