1. David Crowder Band

The David Crowder Band is a Christian rock and modern worship group which was founded in 1995 by David Crowder, a student at Baylor University at the time.

Four of the band’s six studio albums topped the US Top Christian Albums chart and earned them nominations for 18 GMA Dove Awards.

The group disbanded in 2012 when David Crowder left to pursue a solo career.

2. Anberlin

The band Anberlin was originally a punk band called SaGoh 24/7 until they decided to change their band name in 2002. 

Despite their songs containing many religious references, the band refuses to call themselves a Christian rock band.

Their first single, “Feel Good Drag,” ranked No. 1 on the Alternative Songs chart.

The band’s fourth album, New Surrender, also reached No. 13 on the Billboard 200.

3. Ashes Remain

Ashes Remain was founded in 2001 by its lead vocalist Josh Smith and rhythm guitarist Ryan Nalepa.

The name of the band is a reference to the resurrection of Jesus on the third day after his crucifixion.

DC Talk is a Christian rap and rock band that was formed at Liberty University by the trio, Toby McKeehan, Michael Tait, and Kevin Max Smith.
